Latest updates!

hello everyone..!

Its been a quite while we haven't post any new updates.
Well... we have been very busy with our works. Although, we're quite satisfied as we managed to finish up our shootings within a week. Which is last week Monday, 11th Disember 2006.

Eventhough there's a lot of problems we had to faced during the making but we'll never give up. :D

Problems faced.

The problems we were facing such as;

• difficulties in searching for models for photo and video shoots. where at the end, me, Alya had to be one of the model for our project. And Nad as our camera man!
• difficulties in finding transportation to move around
• searching for good ports for shooting.
• finding nice camera angle.
• hard getting materials ready, ex; clothe, accessories, make up, jewelleries, shoes, guitar. The hard part is to find the clothes and accessories because our subject material is about pop yeh-yeh. So we need to get all the old clothe and accesorries.
• waiting for the perfect day and perfect weather for shooting since it's been a rainy season nowadays.
• difficulties getting the props ready such as video camera. Which we had to use only digital camera instead.

However... we're very satisfied with the results~!

Millions of thank you to the person who's willingly to give full co-operation with us!

Thanks to our friends; Feruzz, Nik, Boboy, Kazeem, and Ramlah for the transportation and for being soo co-operative with us during the making.

Thanks to my Mom.. for lending us her car till then she had to go to work by lrt! And for borrowing her cloths too.

Huermm... We wanted to show some of the pictures we had took now. But there's something wrong with the server, we aren't able to upload any images currently.

More Updates!

Doing some Interviews!

For the last weekend, we were so busy looking for the resources for our Pop Yeye Project.And as what we expected, it’s hard for us to find all the information about Pop Yeye, even on the internet.
So, what we did is went for some interviews with peoples that have experienced the Pop Yeh Yeh Era itself, credits to Mr. Azman b. Hamzah and Pn.Haminah bt Md Nor. They are the one that we interviewed for this week to get some information about Pop Yeh Yeh. They did told us about the song that were famous during the time, also some names of dance that existed during the Pop Yeh Yeh Era. Guess what? They looked so happy and afterwards get so excited listening to Pop Yeh Yeh’s songs. They also suggested so many singers and sings, for us to the video clip for our project. It seems like our effort to discover the history of Pop Yeh Yeh is being appreciated by them.

Again, thank you so much to both of them.

Getting the props!

My partner, Alya also went back to her house to find some old clothes from Pop Yeh Yeh era which owned by her mother , Jurenah bt Ghazalli. We got like a whole of plastic beg, full with trendy clothes from Pop Yeh Yeh era.

Thank you so much to her mother for lending us some of her Pop Yeh Yeh clothes.

Shooting has been postponed... :(

Our planning to do some shooting for fashion of Pop Yeh Yeh era this evening cant be done, because it was raining. So, the shooting is postponed to tomorrow.

Explanations

a) Introduction

This site is where we’re going introduce our group members, ideations, demographics and interactivity.


b) History of Pop Yeye’s Era

In this site, we’re going to share our information about the history of Pop Yeye. Where does it come from, and their influenced has become an impact towards Malaysian Culture.


c) Fashion & Trend

Images/ pictures will be included in to show the fashion and trend that people in this Era been wearing. Their styles of clothing, hair, dressing and make-up.


d) Pop Yeye’s Hitz!

Songs/ music famously played during Pop Yeye time also will be added! We’re going to put a play and stop button for the music for viewers to hear it (or not.)


e) Cool Video

Well… we are planning to do a video of Pop Yeye’s dancing styles with some music. This we’re not quite sure that whether we able to get it. It’s because, we haven’t found any source of video yet. But we’re planning to do it ourselves. Let’s just see if we can manage to make it!

Pop Yeye’s Era


Ideation

For the theme “Malaysian Culture & Lifestyle”, we have decided that to work on “Pop Yeye Era” that once have been a phenomenon to Malaysian around 60’s. “Pop Yeye” is a type of music that also influenced Malaysian not only by the rhythm of the music but also in fashion. Youth at the time was so into it that they have created a trend that leaves an impact to Malaysian Culture.


Reasons

As time pass by, no matter how big the impact had been created, the latest generation wouldn’t have known the existence of this culture before, if there is no indication to keep them closer to the Malaysian History. Pop Yeye has become an ancient history in Malaysia.

The main reason we’ve chosen this topic is to remind people and let them know more and better about Pop Yeye as it’s getting over and done. We would not want that one day our youngsters don’t even know the existence of Pop Yeye Era.

Other than that, we’re trying to help people to open up their minds about Pop Yeye Era and appreciate it in the next generation.


Demographic

The range of target audience that we have chosen is around the age of 18 – 25 years old. As our target audience range refers to teenagers and early adults, our design on this project are going to be done with the theme of fresh, fun and fancy. It’s going to be influenced by the Pop Yeye’s Era design but with some modernizing.


This is our first step to persuade our target audience to accept our campaign. It’s also a new style of design to attract our target audience to view more.

It’s generally known that teenagers and early adults love fun. So that is the main reason the color that we’re using in our design is going to be colorful, so that we can create a fun environment while our target audiences viewing it.

It’s going to be media rich. It means that there are going to be lots of video, sound, and image, plus we’re going to minimize the usage of text in our project. It’s a fact that human brain absorbs more information through watching videos, hearing sounds and viewing images rather than reading text. Besides, our target audience prefers something new and extraordinary, so by maximizing the usage of media other than text we can induce them to a better level.

The video that we’re going to put in this project is a video about Pop Yeye’s dancing. The sound that we’re going to put in is some Pop Yeye’s music. It’s kind of oldies song.
The images that we’re going to put in is some pictures of fashion during the Pop Yeye Era.


Interactive activity

We’re planning on doing a game based on puzzle game. It requires a good memory. Our target audiences have to memorize the image that will appear when clicking on a box. Then they have to match it with the same image in another box so that a point will be given. The boxes are going to be colorful, plus the images in it will be about fashion and design of Pop Yeye’s Era.
